This page lists every cookie this website sets. There are only a few, all of them strictly necessary, and none of them tracks you or serves advertising.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you between page loads. Cookies can be first-party (set by this site) or third-party (set by another domain). We set first-party cookies only.
2. Cookies we set

The four sign-in and notice cookies are signed, marked HttpOnly and Secure, and are readable only by this site. The dv analytics identifier is a plain first-party cookie readable only by this site. None of them contain personal details; they hold an ID or a signature.
3. Third-party services
- Cloudflare Turnstile. If our spam check is switched on, the small "verifying" widget on our forms is served by Cloudflare and may store a short-lived token in your browser to remember that you passed. It is not used for tracking.
- Google Fonts. Typefaces are downloaded from Google's servers, which involves a request carrying your IP address but sets no cookie.
4. Analytics without cookies
We count page views with our own first-party analytics. Each view records the page, referrer, country and device type, plus a visitor identifier that is a one-way hash of your IP address and browser signature combined with a salt that changes every day. It cannot be reversed, cannot follow you from one day to the next, and never leaves our server. No analytics cookie, pixel or third-party script is used.
5. No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising, retargeting, social-media pixels or cross-site tracking of any kind.
6. Why there is no cookie banner
Under the EU ePrivacy rules and UK PECR, consent is required only for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Everything above is either strictly necessary for a service you asked for (signing in, submitting a form, paying) or sets no cookie at all, so no banner is required. If we ever add a non-essential cookie we will update this page and ask for consent first.
7. Managing cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site data). Blocking our session cookie will sign you out of the portal; blocking the flash cookie only hides confirmation notices.
